Phill Carter has a work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Phill started their career in 1985 at BT, where they worked as a Precision Test Officer until 1991. Phill then transitioned to the role of Technical Trainer at BT Technical Training College, Stone, where they designed and delivered theoretical and practical knowledge on various courses. In 2002, Phill joined TEMPO Communications, Inc. as a Technical Support Engineer. Later in the same year, they moved to Greenlee Communications Ltd, where they worked in a Technical Support role.

From 1971 to 1978, Phill Carter attended Bishop Gore Senior Comprehensive in Swansea. Following that, from 1978 to 1983, Phill enrolled at No1 Radio School RAF Locking, where they studied Avionics.
