Danny Leavitt

Danny Leavitt is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on software development and leadership. Currently serving as Engineering Lead at Tempus Labs, Inc., since July 2020, Danny is dedicated to advancing next-generation sequencing and precision medicine for cancer patients. Previously, as Software Engineering Manager and Lead Full Stack Engineer at Moda Operandi, Inc., for one year, Danny led a team of engineers and developed AWS solutions. Danny also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at American Family Insurance, where machine learning models were productionized in satellite imagery. As the Founder and Senior Software Engineer of Indelia, Inc., several applications were developed, including the “DynaSource” chrome extension for LinkedIn recruiting. Danny's early career included roles at Discovery Communications as Senior Software Developer and at Signature Specialists as Director of Software Engineering, managing technology departments and developing various systems. In addition to a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, Danny holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
