Perihan MacDonald is an experienced architectural designer currently employed at TenBerke since November 2022. Previous roles include serving as a Career Services Assistant and Graduate Teaching Fellow at Yale School of Architecture from May 2020 to May 2022, and an architectural intern at Burr Salvatore Architects during the summer of 2021. Earlier experience includes working as a Special Assistant at the World Resources Institute from April 2016 to July 2019, a Chief of Staff Intern at The White House in early 2015, and an intern with the Millennium Cities Initiative at The Earth Institute, Columbia University in 2013. Perihan MacDonald holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University (2019-2022), an IN[ARCH] Certificate in Architecture from UC Berkeley (2018), and a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Development from Columbia University (2010-2014).

TenBerke is a New York-based architecture studio united by values. We are bound by the promise that architecture must build toward dignity and decency, that the truest measure of good design is the good that it does the world. And that it must be good in these ways: imaginatively, sustainably, delightfully. We believe that architecture is never an end itself. It is a tool that turns what we have into what we need. Our projects lead to outcomes: the beneficial ways people use our spaces; how our buildings prompt agency; and how our projects connect us meaningfully to time and place, and to one another. We design projects to be the instruments of meaningful and sustainable change.
