Guowen Tang

Guowen Tang is a Business Analyst at Tencent, having started in September 2025. Previously, Guowen held the position of Strategic Algorithm Intern at Bosch (China) Investment Ltd., where responsibilities included engineering an AI chatbot for inventory management and researching causal discovery algorithms for multivariable time-series data. As a Research Assistant at Wake Forest University, Guowen developed a deep learning model for palm tree detection and conducted extensive research on remote sensing methodologies. Additional experience includes internships as a Quantitative Researcher at Xunuo Asset Management, where data analysis and regression modeling were key tasks, and as a Wealth Management Intern at Guosheng Securities, where analysis of sales data and customer segmentation were performed. Guowen holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Business and Computer Science from Wake Forest University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago.
