Mark Thomson has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Mark began their career in 1982 at Honeywell, where they worked as an Environmental Control Systems Engineer until 1988. Mark then joined Northrop Grumman - Astro Aerospace as a Principal Engineer until 2006. At that point, they transitioned to the role of Chief Engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In 2016, they moved back to Northrop Grumman - Astro Aerospace as their Chief Engineer until 2019. Finally, in 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Tendeg, LLC.

Mark Thomson received their first degree in Mechanical Engineering and Architecture from the University of Arizona. Mark attended this institution from 1974 to 1979. After completing their undergraduate studies, Mark went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSME) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California. Mark attended USC from 1979 to 1981.
