Head, Materials Innovation at Tender Food

Matt Skinner is the current Head of Materials Innovation at Tender Food. Prior to this, they were a Biological Safety Engineer at Philips from March 2020 to February 2021. Matt has also worked as a Sr. Research Chemist at PPG Industries from September 2017 to February 2020, where they were responsible for developing proprietary resin and coating technologies, translating resin production from laboratory to manufacturing scale, and mentoring and supporting a team of three synthesis technicians. Matt has also worked as a Research Chemist at Semprus BioSciences from May 2011 to August 2012, and as a Research Intern at Semprus BioSciences from May 2010 to August 2010. Additionally, they have worked as a PhD Intern at Sanofi Genzyme from July 2015 to January 2016, and as a Research Intern at Sanofi Genzyme from May 2009 to August 2009.

Matt Skinner attended Washington University in St. Louis for their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and then went on to the University of Massachusetts Amherst for their Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Science and Engineering.
