Jme is Principal of Mesu Strategies, a research and strategy firm committed to achieving a more just and inclusive society. Prior to founding Mesu Strategies, she worked at PolicyLink, the United Nations Population Fund (China), the University of California, and as an educator to youth with low incomes.
As a public health professional and urban planner by training, Jme brings deep expertise related to racial equity tools and action-research techniques and over 15 years of experience fostering collaboration across fields and sectors for equitable policy and systems change. Her work has contributed to advancements in affordable housing, transportation equity, land use, and regional development policies and to knowledge related to chronic disease prevention, health promotion, and the etiology of stress and trauma.
