Annie Polland currently serves as the President of the Tenement Museum, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Annie Polland was the Executive Director of the American Jewish Historical Society from February 2018 to January 2021 and held the position of Executive Vice President for Programs and Interpretation at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum from January 2009 to January 2018. Earlier in the career, Annie Polland served as Vice President of Education at the Museum at Eldridge Street from April 2004 to January 2009. Annie Polland earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History from Columbia University between 1996 and 2004, and completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1991 to 1995.
