Tomas Gareau

Tomas Gareau has a diverse range of work experience in the software and robotics engineering field. Tomas is currently working as a Software Engineer at Tenera since January 2021. Previously, they spent a year at Unmanned Life as a Robotics Team Lead, where they led a small team of engineers and worked on algorithm development, software architecture, API development, and technical consulting. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Bentley Systems for a short period in 2017 and 2016. Tomas also gained experience as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Arista Networks in 2016, where they assisted with debugging and testing network switches and developed control software. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Student Test Engineer at Kaleidescape in 2015, a Student Engineer at MAC Engineering Inc. in 2014, and an Automation Student Engineer at Talisman Energy in 2014, where they focused on SCADA alarm data analysis and presentation.

From 2013 to 2018, Tomas Gareau attended the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
