Brent Brownfield has over 17 years of experience in software engineering. In 2003, they began their career as a Database Programmer at the Florida Solar Energy Center. In 2004, they moved to ITAC as a Software Engineer, where they developed a Web Based Administration Application. In 2007, they joined Productivity Apex as an Intermediate Software Engineer and acted as a developer liaison developing new requirements and incorporating an implementation rapidly into OneSAF during offsite development efforts at multiple US Army bases. In 2012, they joined StackFrame, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed the Java client API for the User Data Gateway, a RESTful api, and designed and developed WebMSDE v1.0, an HTML5 front-end application using web standards. In 2015, they became the Owner/Senior Software Engineer at Round Robin Development LLC. In 2016, they joined Oxford Global Resources as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant and DMAX-LTD as a Senior Systems Support Engineer. In 2020, they moved to TEKsystems as a Senior Software Engineer and in 2021, they joined Tenerum, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer.

Brent Brownfield obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in 2002. In 2015, they were certified as a Scrum Product Owner by the Scrum Alliance.
