Kaitlyn Cross, MS, CEM, CBCP has a wide range of experience in emergency management and business continuity. Kaitlyn has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career. Kaitlyn began their career in 2011, working as a Homeland Security Intern at the North Richland Hills Fire Department and later as an Emergency Management professional at the Farmers Branch Fire Department. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Warning/IT Communications Officer at the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency. In 2013, Kaitlyn joined the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council, where they worked as an Emergency Medical Response Supervisor and later as a Crisis Applications Administrator. Kaitlyn then moved to the Parkland Hospital in 2015, where they worked as a Disaster System Program Manager in the Department of Disaster Management & Business Continuity until 2019. From 2013, they also worked with the Texas Emergency Medical Task Force as a Medical Incident Support Team Leader, providing Incident Command expertise during health and medical emergencies or disasters around the state. Finally, Kaitlyn joined Tenet Healthcare in 2019, where they served as a Manager of Emergency Management & Business Continuity in the Corporate Security Department. Kaitlyn later became the Interim Director of Business Continuity & Emergency Management and currently holds the position of Director of Business Continuity & Disaster Preparedness.

Kaitlyn Cross, MS, CEM, CBCP, has a strong educational background in emergency management and organizational leadership. Kaitlyn obtained their Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate of Emergency Management at Northeastern State University in 2013. In 2011, Kaitlyn earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Emergency Management & Disaster Planning from the University of North Texas. Kaitlyn began their academic journey with an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Collin College in 2009. Additionally, Kaitlyn Cross has obtained several certifications in their field, including the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International (Disaster Recovery Institute) in December 2020 and the Certificated Emergency Manager from the International Association of Emergency Managers in February 2019.
