Kitty Gudisman

Kitty Gudisman, RN, LHRM, CPPS, currently serves as the Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety Officer at Good Samaritan Medical Center within Tenet Healthcare since March 2016. In this role, Kitty enhances patient safety through systems thinking, facilitates root cause analyses and incident debriefings, and promotes a culture of safety among clinicians and staff. Prior to this, Kitty worked as a Patient Safety Officer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from June 2013 to March 2016, where responsibilities included managing the Patient Safety Program across multiple facilities and achieving significant improvements in incident reporting and patient safety recognition. Kitty holds a Master of Business Administration in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Castleton University.
