Director, Executive Compensation at Tenneco

Nate Wakefield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Nate is currently serving as the Director of Executive Compensation at Tenneco since May 2023. Prior to this, they held multiple positions at Tenneco, including Director of Total Rewards for the Powertrain division and Director of Human Resources for Valve Seats and Guides.

Before their tenure at Tenneco, Nate worked at Federal-Mogul Powertrain as a Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing facility. In this role, they were responsible for employee relations, contract management, succession planning, compensation, recruitment, and EH&S.

Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University in 2012. Nate Wakefield has additional certifications including the Global Professional in Human Resources® (GPHR®) certification from HRCI in 2021, the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2016, and a Change Management Certification from Cornell University in 2020. Nate is also a Facilitator for DDI's Learning Systems and holds the RABQSA-Certified ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor with AIAG ISO/TS 16949:2009 Supplier Auditor Certification from Plexus International.
