State Director Of Employment Innovation & Community Inclusion at Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Carrie Brna is an experienced professional in the field of disability services and community inclusion, currently serving as the State Director of Employment Innovation & Community Inclusion and the Statewide Director of Staff and Provider Development at the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities since November 2019. Previously, Carrie held the position of Assistant Director of Systems Transformation and Innovation at the Division of TennCare, where responsibilities included leading person-centered planning transformations and developing long-term services and supports housing initiatives. Early career experiences include roles as a travel trainer for the Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois, a writing consultant for Southstar Services, and a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Carrie holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Tulane University and a Master of Science in Disability Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago.
