Kelly Johns

Kelly Johns has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kelly currently holds the position of Procurement Director at the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, a role they started in October 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Sourcing Account Management Team Lead at the State of Tennessee, Central Procurement Office from February 2018 until October 2023. Before that, Kelly held the position of Category Specialist at the same office from November 2015 to February 2018. Kelly also worked as an Executive Assistant/Paralegal at the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance from March 2013 to November 2015, and as a Lead Legal Assistant at TBPR from November 2008 to March 2013. Additionally, Kelly gained experience as a Freelance Court Reporter from January 1999 to November 2008.

Kelly Johns received an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, ABA approved from Volunteer State Community College in 2009. In 2010, Kelly earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Austin Peay State University. Kelly is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Leadership from Austin Peay State University, with an expected completion year of 2023. In 2018, Kelly obtained a certification in Executive Leadership from LinkedIn.
