Laura Blount

Laura Blount is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at the Tennessee Supreme Court/Administrative Office of the Courts since October 2022. Prior roles include Junior Law Clerk and Senior Law Clerk at the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals from July 2016 to the present, and Associate Attorney at Howard, Tate, Sowell, Wilson, Leathers & Johnson from 2013 to November 2015. Laura's early experience includes internships and clerkships at various legal organizations, including the Jefferson County Family Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Laura holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Samford University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology with a Minor in Business Administration from Baylor University.
