Matt Smith

Matt Smith has extensive experience in information technology and financial services. Matt began their career as a Systems Programmer and Analyst at Phoenix USA Inc in 2000, where they managed a variety of IT responsibilities. In 2006, they transitioned to Tennessee Technological University, where they held various roles, including Systems Support Specialist, Associate Bursar, Bursar, Interim CIO, and Director of Financial Services. Throughout their tenure at the university, they provided technical knowledge and expertise, managed financial and IT operations, and spearheaded process improvements.

Matt Smith graduated from Oneida High School before continuing their education at Tennessee Technological University. Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems in 2002. Later, they pursued an MBA with a specialization in International Business, completing it in 2007. Currently, they are working towards a second Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the same university since 2011.
