Jeff W. Smith

Jeff W. Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., has spent his career in the Department of Energy's national laboratory system, most recently serving as the Deputy for Operations at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a position held since 2000. He is also President of the UT-Battelle Development Corporation and, as part of a previous special assignment, assisted with the creation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. His term expires May 18, 2022.
