Laurie Smith

Laurie Smith has extensive experience in project management and IT architecture, currently serving as a Senior Manager of Project Management Performance at the Tennessee Valley Authority since May 2010. In this role, Laurie leads enterprise project management initiatives aimed at enhancing performance, including project performance analysis and support for key project management tools. Previous positions include Senior Program Manager, where Laurie was responsible for enterprise project management reporting strategy, and roles as a Senior IT Project Manager and Manager of IT Engineering Planning & Performance. Laurie's early career at TVA encompassed positions such as Manager of IT Architecture and Database Architect, focusing on enterprise architecture and standards development. Laurie holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Aerospace Technology from Middle Tennessee State University.
