Nick Cunningham

Nick Cunningham is an experienced economic development professional currently serving as a Regional Economic Development Consultant for the Tennessee Valley Authority since March 2020. Previously, Nick held the position of Director of Economic Development at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce from August 2018 to March 2020 and worked as a Business Development Specialist at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development from June 2017 to July 2018. Early in the career, Nick gained experience as an Economic Policy Analysis and Public Diplomacy Intern with the U.S. Department of State and as a Business Development and Research Intern with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Additionally, Nick developed and launched "The Clarksville Wildcat" mobile application, engaging high school students with information on athletics and events. Earlier internships included roles with the U.S. House of Representatives, Vanderbilt Athletics, and participation in the Accelerator Summer Business Institute at Vanderbilt University. Nick holds degrees in Human and Organizational Development and Political Science from Vanderbilt University.
