Richard Gort

Richard Gort is an experienced leader in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Customer Connections and Capacity at TenneT TSO B.V., where a special assignment focuses on increasing delivery speed and unlocking grid capacity to support the energy transition. Gort has held various important roles, including interim Director of Large Projects Offshore and Director of Grid Field Operations, overseeing significant operational dimensions such as 2600 FTE and substantial capital and asset values. In addition, Gort is a Senior Manager Offshore Grid at NOVEC and has multiple managing directorships at TenneT Offshore Beteiligungs GmbHs, supporting offshore projects. Gort holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and has completed a post-graduate degree in Chemical Process Technology.
