Genel Sturgeon

Genel Sturgeon is a seasoned professional in the sports industry, currently serving as the Talent Development Coordinator at Tennis Australia since June 2024. Previously, Genel held various roles at Tennis Australia, including Broadcast Crewing Specialist on a maternity leave contract, and at KOJO as the Sport Operations & Production Lead. Experience also includes positions with Cricket Australia as a Content Coordinator, and as Project Manager at SMT (SportsMEDIA Technology Corp). Sturgeon has a diverse background in marketing and game operations from tenure at Jacksonville Armada FC, and has contributed to military sports programs as a Sport Coordinator Assistant at Morale, Welfare, & Recreation Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. Sturgeon's foundational experience in athletics began with an apprenticeship at Flagler College, which followed the attainment of a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Flagler College.
