Jason Tsang has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jason has worked at the City of Toronto as a Project Coordinator for the Official Plan Team, where they assisted in the delivery of Municipal Comprehensive Review work plan components and the day-to-day management of the team. Prior to that, they were a Planner and Assistant Planner in the City Planning department.
In addition to their roles at the City of Toronto, Jason has also served as the Rogers Cup Transportation Committee Head at Tennis Canada since 1996. Jason was also a member of the Board of Directors at Parkway Valley Tennis Club from 2006 to 2018 and at Ontario Nature from 2008 to 2014.
Jason has further experience in public service as a Committee of Adjustment Member (North York Panel B) at the City of Toronto from 2007 to 2011 and as a Policy Analyst at the Government of Ontario from 2009 to 2011.
Jason also worked as a Planner at Malone Given Parsons Ltd., an Associate at Gagnon Law Bozzo Urban Planners Ltd., and a Co-op Transportation Planning Student at iTRANS Consulting.
At the University of Waterloo, Jason served as a Teaching Assistant from 2004 to 2006.
Jason Tsang attended York Mills CI from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Jason then went on to the University of Waterloo from 2001 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree in Honours Co-operative Planning. Alongside their formal education, Jason also obtained several certifications, including becoming a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (M.C.I.P.) in September 2011 and a Registered Professional Planner (R.P.P.) from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute in September 2011. Recently, in January 2019, they also became a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP®). Furthermore, in May 2023, they achieved MVP Alumni status from Microsoft.
