Atif Raza

Atif Raza has a diverse background in system administration and DevOps roles. Atif started their career at CloudBPO Private Limited as a SYSTEM SUPPORT ENGINEER, where they focused on installations, backups, and restorations. Atif also managed server backups and supported new backup scripts.

In 2013, Atif joined ePlanet Communications Inc as a System Administrator, where they administered both Windows and Linux environments in Amazon-Cloud, Rackspace, and US Office. Atif optimized local and remote servers and provided services to ePlanet as core system administration. Atif also worked with Redhat enterprise Linux, Debian, XenServer, Windows Server 2008r2, Windows server 2003, and IBM Telephony Anywhere.

At ePlanet, Atif progressed to the role of Team Lead Server Support, where they led a team in server administration. Atif then became a Sr System Administrator, managing and optimizing local servers and administering Amazon Web Services. Atif also worked on Softlayer Colo server administration and VOIP servers.

In 2017, Atif joined Arpatech (Pvt) Ltd as a Senior System Administrator (DevOps). Atif worked with open-source technologies, including HashiCorp Tools, RabbitMQ, Couchbase, Jenkins, and Rundeck to provide CI/CD pipelines. Atif also orchestrated infrastructure-as-code through Terraform and Nomad container management.

Next, Atif joined Daraz in 2018 as Lead SysAdmin/DevOps. Atif managed the infrastructure of the front-end application and implemented automation tools such as Docker, Nomad, Consul, Vault, Terraform, Rundeck, and Jenkins. Atif also utilized Terraform to write Infrastructure-as-Code and improve modularity.

In 2019, Atif joined Visionet Systems Inc. as a Sr Managing Consultant. Atif focused on AWS Production Deployment using a serverless architecture comprised of various EC2 services. Atif worked with Jenkins pipelines, SonarQube, and Blazemeter integrations for testing. Git, Github actions, and Git flows were also part of their responsibilities.

Finally, Atif joined Tenovos in 2019 as a Sr. DevOps Engineer. Atif specialized in AWS Serverless Architecture, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring with CloudWatch/Grafana/Slack integrations. Atif also had ownership of release management to production and rollback. Automation tools were utilized to enhance execution and delivery speed.

Atif Raza completed their Master's degree in Computer Architecture & System Design from NED University of Engineering and Technology, from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dawood College of Engineering & Technology, from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Atif has acquired several certifications including Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in September 2021, and various Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications in August 2020. Atif also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) including Solutions Architect - Professional, SysOps Administrator - Associate, and Solutions Architect Associate. Finally, Atif has ITILv3 Foundation certification, although the specific month and year of attainment are not available.
