Alan McPherson

Chief Executive Officer at Tensator

Alan McPherson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Alan served as the Chief Executive Officer at Tensator Group from November 2007 onwards, where they successfully rebranded the company and led the acquisition of the French distributor. As the Chief Operating Officer at Tensator from December 2005 to October 2007, they played a crucial role in the company's operations. Prior to this, Alan served as the International Sales Director at Tensator from March 2004 to November 2005, where they established the company's first overseas subsidiary in Frankfurt and opened a hub in Dubai.

Before joining Tensator, Alan worked at Radford Customer Guidance & Checkouts Ltd from March 2001 to September 2003 as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing. Alan implemented a successful restructuring of the sales team, resulting in increased business for the company. Prior to this, they worked as the Product Integration Manager at Radford from January 1999 to February 2001, where they integrated Radford's products into Linde Refrigeration's sales network. As the Export Sales Manager at Radford from March 1997 to December 1998, Alan contributed to the company's international sales.

Alan started their career as a Graduate Trainee at Wagon Industrial Holdings plc from September 1996 to February 1997. Alan also had a previous role as a Graduate Trainee at Wagon Industrial Holdings Ltd from March 1996 to August 1996. In between these roles, they were seconded to Forkardt GmbH as a management consultant, where they worked on various projects.

Alan McPherson attended the University of Glasgow from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Masters of Arts (Hons) degree in Management, German Language and Literature.
