Syed Zohaib Gilani

Syed Zohaib Gilani is an experienced engineer currently serving as a Fellow and Sr Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent, where responsibilities include managing the AI core team and leading AI core architecture and micro-architecture initiatives since May 2022. Prior to this role, Syed held the position of Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc. from October 2017 to May 2022. Syed's earlier experience at AMD from September 2013 to October 2017 included serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where focus areas included performance modeling for the AMD Navi GPU architecture and render backend performance modeling for AMD GPUs. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MS in Computer Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Additionally, Syed participated in the Wisconsin Entrepreneurial Bootcamp.
