Sherry Gibson, PE, PMP has over 35 years of experience in various leadership and management roles. Sherry most recently served as the Environmental Business Unit Manager and General Manager at Tepa Companies, where they were responsible for strategic direction, profit and loss, personnel management, sales strategy/business development, and client management. Prior to that, they were the Vice President at Tetra Tech, where they focused on increasing federal government revenues through strategic planning, client development, and proposal preparation. Sherry also served as the Operations Manager and Vice President Operations at Bristol Alliance of Companies, overseeing leadership, profit and loss, and team development. Sherry Gibson has extensive experience working with government agencies and has served in roles such as Director of Government Services at Envirocon and Vice President at SAIC. Sherry began their career as a Department Manager at Ben Dyer Associates, specializing in surface water hydrology and water resources design engineering. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in environmental facilities design, program management, and business development.

Sherry Gibson, PE, PMP obtained a Master's degree in Sustainability Studies from Harvard University, graduating in 2022. Sherry also earned a Graduate Certificate in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Ecosystems from Harvard University, completing it in 2020. Prior to their postgraduate studies, Sherry received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sherry Gibson holds several professional certifications. Sherry obtained the Social and Behavioral Research Investigators certification from the CITI Program in June 2022. Sherry also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they acquired in February 2004. Sherry is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the State of Tennessee, and the State of Maryland. Sherry received their first PE license in Virginia in May 1990, followed by Tennessee in January 1992, and finally Maryland also in May 1990.
