Joaquin Carrera Fernandez has a diverse work experience in the field of 3D art and animation. Joaquin started their career as a intern at G.O.C., S/A in April 2012. In September 2014, they began working as a freelance 3D Artist and Animator, with projects extending till present. From the same year until February 2018, they also worked as a 3D Artist and Rigger&Animator at Drakhar Studio. Currently, they are employed as a Technical Animator at Tequila Works since September 2018.
Joaquin Carrera Fernandez has a diverse education history. In 2018, they completed a course at Udemy Academy on "Python For Maya: Artist Friendly Programming." The following year, in 2017, they attended Animum Creativity Advanced School for an online course in "3d Character Rigging." In 2015 and 2016, they were enrolled in El Centro de Formación CICE en Madrid (España), where they pursued a program called "CG Heroes, 3D&VFX Mentor Program," focusing on animation, interactive technology, video graphics, and special effects. During the same period, they also obtained a Master's degree in "Design and 3D Art for Video Games Official Autodesk" from the same institution. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, Joaquin studied at EISV (Escuela de Imagen y Sonido de Vigo), earning a degree as a "Technician in 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Games, and Interactive Environments." Before entering the field of animation, they had completed a two-year technical training program in construction project development and application at IES Politécnico de Vigo from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they also attained a qualification in "Web Page Design" from the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation of Vigo.
