Lezar du Preez

Lezar du Preez has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering and data center solutions. Lezar started their career as an Electrical Apprentice at Quality Installations in 2003 and worked there until 2007. Lezar then joined XON, where they held several roles including Electrician, Senior Electrician, and Pre-sales Electrical and Data Center Solutions. Lezar worked at XON from 2007 to 2013. In 2013, du Preez moved to Dimension Data as a Solution Architect specializing in Data Centre Infrastructure until 2015. Currently, they are employed at Teraco - A Digital Realty Company, where they started as a Data Centre Technical Facilities Manager in 2015 and later became the National Technical Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Design and Engineering at Teraco.

Lezar du Preez pursued their education at various institutions and obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Lezar completed a Master's degree in Data Center Leadership and Management from Anglia Ruskin University. This program lasted from 2020 to 2023.

Prior to that, they attended Middelburg Technical High School from 1998 to 2002, although no specific degree or field of study information was provided for this period.

Additionally, Lezar obtained several certifications to bolster their professional credentials. In 2009, they received a Wireman's License (Installation Electrician) from the Department of Labour. In 2011, they became a Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) after completing a program offered by EPI. Finally, in 2015, Lezar earned the Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification from the Uptime Institute.
