Laura Petersen

Laura Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laura currently works as a Senior Business Analyst at TeraCode since April 2021. Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at Estrategias Diferenciadas SA EDSA from March 2016 to March 2021.

From 2012 to 2015, Laura worked at Southworks as a Project Leader and Business Analyst. Laura was involved in various projects for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) using MS SharePoint, MS SQL Server, and MS Visual Studio. Laura also worked as a Technical Writer, creating tutorials and training kits, and developed Windows Phone and Windows Store applications using Visual Studio for Microsoft.

Laura also has experience at Orbitz Worldwide, where they worked as a Tech Lead/Internal Testing Consultant from July 2010 to June 2012. Their main tasks included helping teams manage their tasks and time better for automation, automation planning and tracking using Jira, and development and code review using Ride/Selenium.

Before that, Laura worked at Globant from April 2009 to June 2012 as a QC Senior. Laura worked on different projects for companies like Gap Inc, Axway, Disney Cruise Line, and Orbitz World Wide. Laura received training in QTP, Selenium, and Ruby.

Laura has worked in different roles at Disney Cruise Line, Axway, Gap Inc, and Microsoft. Laura has experience as a Vendor/Test consultant, Vendor QC Consultant, and Software Design Engineer in Test. Their responsibilities included manual testing, automated testing using QTP, Selenium, Microsoft Visual Studio, Ruby, and the Watir/Taza frameworks.

Laura started their career at Sistran in 1998 as a Software Design Engineer and Consultant/Programmer, where they were responsible for developing new modules and parameterizing existing modules in an accounting software package using VB6 and Sybase System 11. Laura successfully implemented the software system at Royal & SunAlliance (Uruguay).

Overall, Laura Petersen has a strong background in software development, quality assurance, project leadership, and business analysis.

Laura Petersen attended the Escuela Nacional de Comercio "Fuerte del la Independencia" from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a High school Degree with Accounting Specialization (Perito Mercantil). In addition, they received certifications from the Asociación Argentina de Cultura Inglesa, including a 6to Año Superior certification in September 1987 and a 5to Año Superior certification in September 1986.

Later, Laura attended the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires from 1989 to 1999, where they earned a degree in Software Engineering (Ingeniero de Sistemas).

In 2005, Laura obtained a TOEFL certification from ETS, demonstrating their proficiency in English.
