Alex Hughes

Alex Hughes is a Tax Director at Teradata, currently leading tax initiatives since 2025. They bring extensive experience in corporate and international tax matters, having previously served as a Senior Tax Manager at ICON plc and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®). Alex began their career as a Finance Intern at American Express and progressed through various roles, including Corporate Tax Associate at Deloitte and Corporate Tax Assistant Manager at Grant Thornton LLP. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham and are pursuing a Chartered Accountant qualification at ICAEW. Additionally, Alex obtained the CTA designation from The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
