Jim Merchant

Jim Merchant possesses extensive experience in engineering and management roles within the electronics and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Test Manager for the TDE Process Lab at Teradyne since April 2004, Jim has held multiple positions at the company, including Electro-Mechanical Engineer and System Cable Design Engineer. Prior to Teradyne, Jim held the position of Test Engineering Manager at both Teradyne (formerly GenRad) and GenRad. Early career experience includes roles as a Consulting Electrical Design Engineer at Molex Premise Networks and MOD-TAP, as well as significant engineering positions at Schlumberger, where Jim advanced from Associate Design Engineer to Senior Hardware Design Engineer. Jim's diverse skill set encompasses hardware design, test engineering, and management, contributing to multiple successful projects across various technology domains.
