Michael Cowen has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Their most recent role is as the Global CEO and Co-Founder at teraflow.ai, where they help companies solve data challenges and guide them through their data journey. Prior to this, Michael was a Podcast Host and Professional Speaker at What's The Future ?, where they shared knowledge about digital transformation and encouraged innovation. Michael also served as the Co-Host Futurology at CliffCentral.com, discussing the impact of technology on our lives. Before that, they were a Digital Partner at Bish Bash Bosh & Co, where they focused on developing a micro-jobbing platform and utilizing real-time agricultural data. Michael also worked as a Digital Advisory Director at Deloitte Digital Africa, leading projects in digital strategy, application development, and more for clients like Nedbank and Bidvest. Michael was a Digital Client Lead Director at Mindshare, responsible for driving digital growth and integrating traditional and digital media strategies. In addition, Michael served as a Marketing Director at Brandsocial, creating niche communities and driving conversations about brands. Michael also owned Context Brand + Marketing, a strategic brand consultancy focused on brand positioning and customer loyalty. Prior to that, they were involved in various digital education initiatives and co-hosted Splatt, The Marketing Wakeup Podcast. Early in their career, Michael co-founded Perspective Transformation Systems, where they focused on marketing strategy and customer experience.

Michael Cowen began their education in 1983 at St Andrew's College in Grahamstown, where they completed their secondary education. Michael then went on to attend the University of the Witwatersrand from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a degree in B.Comm with a focus on marketing and economics. In 1997, Michael attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Marketing. That same year, they also attended the IMM Graduate School and earned a degree in IMM, specializing in marketing.
