Alexander Barannikov

Alexander Barannikov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Alexander started their career as a System Administrator in various companies from 2000 to 2007. Alexander then worked at Yandex as a Database Developer, Database Administrator, and System Administrator from 2007 to 2011, where they played a key role in developing and maintaining the popular information service "Yandex. Traffic." At System Technologies, Ltd., they served as a Senior Database Developer and Database Administrator from 2011 to 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Alexander worked as a Team Lead and Senior Database Developer at LOKO-Bank, where they led a team and implemented various improvements, including creating and implementing the BASEL-3 report. At TechnoConsult LLC, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Database Administrator from 2016 to 2017, focusing on code review, optimization, and developing new systems.

As an Independent Contractor from 2015 to 2018, Alexander participated in various international start-ups and projects as a Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and Database Administrator. In 2018, Alexander joined Giraff.io as a Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer. Some of their major achievements in this role include reducing release time, improving code coverage, optimizing server load, and improving the quality of service overall.

From 2020 to 2021, Alexander worked as a Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at INTERNATIONAL TEACHER | PIIQ MEDIA. Currently, they are employed at Teramind as the Lead Business Intelligence Software Engineer, starting in 2021.

Alexander Barannikov has an Engineer's degree in Information Technology from Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Computer Sciences (MGUPI). Alexander also holds two certifications from Microsoft: Microsoft Certified IT Professional in Database Developer 2005 and Microsoft Certified IT Professional in Database Developer 2008.
