Alasdair Pentland

Alasdair Pentland is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Teraview since March 2015, Alasdair previously held the position of Technical Product Manager at Nanometrics from April 2008 to February 2015. Alasdair's career also includes roles as an Applications Engineer at Accent Optical Technology and as a (Senior) Etch Process Engineer at Trikon Technologies. Alasdair earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electron Phonon Interactions 1D structures from the University of Nottingham and an Msci 2:1 in Applied Physics from Durham University. Educational background also includes attendance at Berwick-Upon-Tweed County High School.
