Mike Robinson

Mike Robinson has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Mike started their career as a Service Technician at Grant Instruments (Cambridge) Ltd, where they gained experience in recovering customer data, software updating, and fault finding. Mike then moved on to become a Calibration Technician at Michell Instruments, where they became proficient in building, testing, and calibrating products and achieved a 23% improvement in laboratory throughput. Mike later became the Deputy Head of Laboratory, completing UKAS procedures to a high standard and providing backup to the Head of Laboratory.

In 2004, Mike joined MICHELL INSTRUMENTS LIMITED as a Production Manager. Mike implemented 5S methodology throughout manufacturing, achieving company-wide expansion, and provided training and guidance to other managers. Mike consistently maintained a high on-time delivery performance and reduced lead time for manufactured products. Mike also implemented process flow improvements, resulting in a significant increase in product throughput.

Most recently, Mike worked at Teraview as a Production Manager, where they were responsible for production planning and implementation, supply chain management, and schedule development.

Mike Robinson studied at Cambridge Regional College, where they completed a BTEC National Certificate in Engineering with a focus on Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1993.
