Lead Gameplay Engineer at Teravision Games

Nicolas Nieto Bedoya has a diverse range of work experience in the field of video game development. Nicolas started their career at Pivot Entertainment Studio in 2015, where they worked as a Gameplay Engineer and developed various projects, including a platform-type 3D video game and a point-and-click game for the education sector.

In 2015, Nicolas also had a brief role as a UI/UX Programmer at Corporación Politecnica Nacional.

Nicolas then moved on to Engagement SAS, where they worked as a Multimedia Engineer in the Virtualization area. Nicolas'sresponsibilities included working on virtual environments and computer simulations, as well as coding a 3D learning simulator using Unity.

In 2016, Nicolas joined Eleven Producciones as a Gameplay Engineer and Game System Engineer. Nicolas programmed gameplay mechanics and game systems using C# and developed interactive experiences to promote brands for different clients and events.

Nicolas then worked at Teravision Games, first as a Gameplay Engineer and later as a Lead Gameplay Engineer. Nicolas coded single-player and multiplayer video games using Unreal Engine 4 and created gameplay mechanics, game systems, and coding standards for the development team.

Most recently, Nicolas worked at Arkde as a Teacher/Mentor, where they mentored students in the "Basic Course of Video Game Development with UE4" in Spanish. Nicolas taught coding in UE4 using Blueprints and C++, as well as topics such as collisions, mechanics for FPS and TPS characters, AI, UI, and sound.

Throughout their career, Nicolas has gained experience in coding for different platforms, including mobile, VR devices, consoles, and PC. Nicolas has worked with Unity and Unreal Engine 4 and has developed advergames and interactive experiences for various purposes. Nicolas'sexpertise lies in gameplay engineering, game systems development, and creating user interfaces for video games.

Nicolas Nieto Bedoya attended Universidad Militar Nueva Granada from 2010 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Multimedia Engineer. Nicolas also obtained several certifications, including a Unity Certified Developer certification from Unity Technologies in January 2017, and multiple certifications in Unity Videogames from Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia in 2017. Additionally, Nicolas obtained a certification in 2D Videogames development for Windows 8.1 using Unity from Microsoft in 2016.
