Colin Holmes

Principal Engineer at Terex

Colin Holmes has a wealth of experience in engineering and design. Colin began their career in 1994 at Indicators International Ltd, where they worked as a Production Controller and also contributed to new product design. In 1999, they joined FG Wilson as a Lead Design Engineer, responsible for new product development within the Electric Power Division. This role also extended to Caterpillar and Olympian brands. In the same year, FG Wilson merged with Caterpillar, and Colin continued their role until 2013. Colin then moved to Caterpillar Inc., where they held the position of Lead Design Engineer, focusing on CAT Inline-6 New Product Development for the Electric Power Division. Colin's most recent role is as a Principal Engineer at Terex Corporation, which they started in 2021.

Colin Holmes attended Ulster University from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained a BTech in Mechanical Design Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at Ulster University from 1995 to 1997, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management. Later, from 1998 to 1999, they completed their Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Management at Ulster University.
