Tergar International
Cortland Dahl is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in contemplative science and Buddhist studies. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Tergar International since January 2009, Cortland has played a pivotal role in promoting meditation and Buddhist teachings globally. Additionally, Cortland serves as Chief Contemplative Officer at Healthy Minds Innovations and holds positions as Scientist and Research Scientist at the Center for Healthy Minds and University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively, since August 2016. Prior experience includes founding the Rimé Foundation, a non-profit for preserving Tibetan wisdom, and producing and directing films for the Beyond Borders Film Festival. Cortland's academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Mind, Brain, and Contemplative Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MA in Buddhist Studies and Tibetan Language from Naropa University, and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Minnesota.

Tergar Meditation Community supports individuals, practice groups, and meditation communities around the world in learning to live with awareness, compassion, and wisdom. Grounded in the Tibetan Buddhist lineage of our guiding teacher, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, our online and in-person programs are accessible to people of all cultures and faiths, and support a lifelong path toward the application of these principles in everyday life. Tergar International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that develops and delivers Tergar programs, in partnership with our sister organization Tergar Asia. Tergar International is based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota, with a staff of 39 employees and core contractors who work in various locations around the world.
