Andrea Urbanelli

Andrea Urbanelli is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering and grid planning, serving as the Head of Central South Grid Planning at Terna SpA since December 2017. Andrea has contributed to projects under the Mediterranean Network Development Plan through roles in CIGRE as an Individual Member and Med-TSO as an Italian Member of Planning Technical Committees, where involvement included static and cost-benefit analyses for key interconnections. Previous experience includes a thesis internship at Terna SpA, focusing on grid restoration simulations and statistical analysis.
