Joshua Kwan has worked in the tech industry since 2004. Starting as an intern at Rackable Systems, they then interned at Sun Microsystems and Accenture in 2006. In 2007, they became a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where they worked on Windows, Linux, and OS X cross-platform development. Joshua then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Schrödinger from 2014-2015, before moving to Arbor (which was later acquired by LiveRamp in 2016). At LiveRamp, they worked as Team Lead and Architect for DevOps, leading a team to migrate the environment from on-prem datacenter to Google Cloud Platform. Joshua then left LiveRamp in 2020 to become Co-Founder and CTO at Ternary Inc.
Joshua Kwan has a diverse educational background. Joshua attended The Harker School from 2003 to 2005 and Hong Kong International School from 2002 to 2003. Joshua then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, Joshua has obtained several certifications, including a FinOps Certified Practitioner from the FinOps Foundation in August 2022, a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google in August 2020, a Google Cloud Certified Professional DevOps Engineer from Google in September 2020, and a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in November 2017.
