Erica Meta Smith is an experienced forester with a robust background in forestry, land management, and policy development. Currently serving as a Field Carbon Development Specialist at Terra Global Capital since April 2009, Erica collaborates with local experts and social scientists to address societal and ecological needs in landscape management amidst climate change. Prior to this role, Erica gained substantial experience as a Forester Assistant at the Forestry Office of Stephen G. Smith and Associates, where apprenticeship under Registered Professional Foresters focused on the redwood region and mixed conifer forests. Additional roles include a Forest Policy Intern at the National Association of State Foresters, where Erica worked on federal policy issues, and Graduate Student Instructor positions at UC Berkeley. Erica holds both a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from the University of California, Berkeley.
