Santiago Osorio

Santiago Osorio is a GHG Quantification Principal for Nature-Based Solutions at Terra Global Capital, leading the development of projects for climate change mitigation aligned with VCS and Gold Standard. Previously, Santiago served as a Senior Specialist and Forest and Land Use Adviser at South Pole, managing ARR, IFM, and REDD+ projects under international standards. Santiago's experience includes environmental compliance consulting for Alcaldía de Medellín, evaluating water resource supply at Fundación Natura, and developing management plans for protected areas at CORNARE. Earlier roles involved hydrological modeling for multiple entities, including Universidad Nacional de Colombia, across various projects focused on water resources and sediment dynamics. Santiago holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources and a degree in Forest Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
