Peter Veenstra

Peter Veenstra is currently the Director of Data Governance at Terracon, where they lead the Data Governance program, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the organization. With over 30 years of experience in the geospatial industry, they have specialized in consulting, database design, and system implementation, particularly focusing on geospatial site intelligence for critical infrastructure. Previously, Peter served as the Director of Data Architecture at Pivvot, LLC, and held various key roles in GIS and data management across multiple companies, demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting data literacy and governance practices. Peter obtained a Bachelor of Environment Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from The University of Edinburgh, further solidifying their expertise in the field.
