Martin Smirl

Martin Smirl is an experienced operations professional with a strong background in renewable energy management. Currently serving as Control Center Operations Manager at TerraForm Power since September 2017, Martin oversees remote operations for wind and solar energy. Previously, Martin held various roles at SunEdison from April 2009, including Director of Operations in Global Asset Management, where responsibilities included managing a team of 45 across multiple operations centers globally. Martin also contributed as Operations Manager and Senior Technical Engineer, developing methodologies for solar plant data acquisition. Earlier in the career, Martin worked at SMA Solar Technology AG in technical support roles for grid-tied and off-grid solar systems from 2008 to 2010.
