Aaron Unger

Aaron Unger is a Senior Radiochemist at TerraPower LLC since January 2023, previously serving as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Colorado School of Mines from July 2018 to January 2023, where Aaron focused on the redox and complexation chemistry of chloride ionic liquids and molten salts for a PhD dissertation. Prior experience includes an internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, developing spectroscopic monitoring techniques for plutonium-238 production, and various research assistant roles at the University of Nevada, Reno, and University of Nevada-Las Vegas, engaging in electrochemical and radiochemistry projects. Unger holds a PhD in Nuclear Science and Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering with a Nuclear Materials Emphasis from the University of Nevada, Reno.
