Jeff Baylor

Jeff Baylor is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the development of simulation methods and software tools for sodium cooled fast reactors at TerraPower since August 2016. Prior to this role, Baylor founded Convergent Mechanical Solutions LLC, offering technical services and developing computer-aided engineering software from May 2003 to August 2016. Additional contributions as a consultant and contractor included work with Northwest Numerics and NSE Composites, where Baylor developed innovative tools for analyzing complex materials and structures. Previous roles span from a Senior Consultant at RBE, Inc. to a Structural Analyst Engineer at Boeing, alongside a research position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, culminating in a strong foundation in finite element analysis and structural engineering. Baylor holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
