Jim Butler

Jim Butler is an experienced professional in health, safety, and environmental management with a career spanning several decades in the mining and construction industries. Currently serving as a Health and Safety Advisor at Terrapure Environmental since July 2019, Jim has previously held positions including Occupational Health and Safety Advisor at Moncrief Construction Ltd. and VP of Operations at Duggan Tourangeau Management Inc. A seasoned leader, Jim has developed training manuals, procedures, and practices, and has been responsible for audits, root cause analysis, and consultant services. Additional experience includes roles as Site HSE Manager at Royal Dutch Shell and HSE site Manager at CNRL Horizon site, alongside extensive background in heavy equipment operation and contract coordination during tenure at Syncrude Canada Ltd. Jim's foundational education includes attendance at Composite High School in Fort McMurray.
