Maria Cebrian Fernandez has been working in a variety of roles since 1995. Maria began their career as an International Cooperation worker for Proyecto Mi Casa Bolivia in 1995, then moved to a Social Worker role at the City of Edinburgh Council in 1999. In 2001, they became Campaigns and Advocacy Manager for Médicos del Mundo. In 2008, they Co-Founded and became CEO of Iconik Estudio, a video and photography service for advertising agencies, companies and organisations. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of AOMM.TV, a Spanish-speaking yoga and pilates online platform, which was later acquired by Gaia.com. In 2017, they took on the role of Director of International Business Development and Director of International Marketing for Gaia Inc., a 700k subscriber streaming video service. In 2020, they became Co-Founder and CEO of Terraseed, and in 2021 they became a Mentor for Telluride Venture Network.

Maria Cebrian Fernandez began their education in 1989, when they earned a Degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 1998, they obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from The University of Edinburgh, with a focus in Social Work. In 2001, they earned a Masters in International NGO Management from Universidad de Alcalá, specializing in International Cooperation and Development. In 2004, they completed a Postgraduate in International Migration and Cooperation from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, focusing on International Cooperation. Finally, Maria Cebrian Fernandez graduated from the Founder Institute in 2019, having completed a Start up incubator program.
