Mike Howard has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike started their career at TRW in 1990, where they held various roles including Director of Environmental, Health & Safety and Manager of Safety, Health, and Environmental Affairs. In 2001, they transitioned to the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as the Director of Operations until 2012. Following this, they joined Clay Community Schools as the Director of Extended Services. Currently, Mike Howard serves as the Director of Facilities at Terre Haute Casino Resort from 2023.
Mike Howard attended Northview High School from 1984 to 1987. Following this, they furthered their education at Indiana State University from 1987 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Safety and Health Technology/Technician.

Terre Haute Casino Resort
Terre Haute Casino Resort is owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) (“CDI”). The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 21, 2022. The casino and core restaurants are set to open April 5, 2024 and the hotel and rooftop bar are set to open May 15, 2024. Once completed, the approximately $290 million Terre Haute Casino Resort will feature 1,000 slot machines; 35 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and live poker; a 122-room luxury hotel with pool; a state-of-the-art sports book; and 5 restaurants and 6 bars. The casino resort will create over 500 jobs with a mix of full-time and part-time employees. It is expected to also generate up to 1,000 construction jobs. The launch of Terre Haute Casino Resort extends beyond physical structure; it's about creating a vibrant and integral part of this community, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring this exciting chapter to life.
